Is anyone else having problems with turning on "bookmark sync' in Google Chrome?  Sure my bookmarks are stored in Google docs, but I can access my xmarks from anywhere to start with.  My bookmarks just turn into a garbled mess if I leave this turned on.  I have switched back to the xmarks extension for now.

The folks over at SMIT (Sustainably Minded Interactive Technology) are running for a grant to get their Solar Ivy product to become a commercial reality. The concept is rather interesting, as it showcases a flexible net of photovoltaic leaves that can be draped over an entire building to capture solar energy. This concept is probably akin to you installing solar panels all over your house, though it will be interesting to see a comparison of the energy gathered from both methods.
