Google Chrome

Is anyone else having problems with turning on "bookmark sync' in Google Chrome?  Sure my bookmarks are stored in Google docs, but I can access my xmarks from anywhere to start with.  My bookmarks just turn into a garbled mess if I leave this turned on.  I have switched back to the xmarks extension for now.
